ADINA Parasolid Modeler

Finite element analysis software

      Clear

Explore infinite possibilities with nonlinear analysis

ADINA is powerful finite element software, built to help you solve the most difficult nonlinear problems involving geometric, material, and load nonlinearities; large deformations; and contact conditions. ADINA includes various CAD/CAE interfaces to provide extensive capabilities for pre- and post-processing.

Because every firm has different needs, there are several ADINA software to choose from:?

      • ADINA ? Includes essentials such as ADINA Structures and CAD/CAE interfaces for linear and nonlinear static and dynamic analysis
      • ADINA Advanced ? Includes ADINA essentials, plus ADINA Thermal and ADINA Thermo-Mechanical Coupling
      • ADINA Ultimate ? Includes everything in ADINA Advanced, plus computational fluid dynamics, fluid structure interaction, electromagnetics, and multiphysics
      • ADINA Parasolid Interface ? An add-on to ADINA, ADINA Advanced, or ADINA Ultimate that provides an interface to all Parasolid-based CAD systems

      Versatile stress capabilities

Take advantage of versatile finite elements for solids, shells, beams, trusses, pipes, and special purpose applications. Material models are provided for metals, soils and rocks, plastics, rubber, fabrics, wood, ceramics, and concrete. Conduct linear and nonlinear analysis of 2D and 3D solid elements, structural elements such as truss, beam, pipe, shell, and spring, elements, fluid elements, acoustic elements, or user-defined elements.

      Interactive interface

Work with ease through an interactive graphical user interface for all your modeling and pre- and post-processing tasks. You can directly create or import model geometry from various CAD systems, including those that support Parasolid (NX, SolidEdge, and SolidWorks).

      Automatically generate meshes

Automatically generate meshing for 3D elements, including mapped meshing that generates brick, wedge, or mixed free-form tetrahedral elements, and general 3D meshing for solids and fluids. Conduct 2D surface meshing for shells, plated, and 2D planar elements, as well as 1D elements, such as truss, beam, and pipe.

      ADINA

ADINA is the premier finite element program for nonlinear analysis. ADINA Structures and the ADINA User Interface are used to solve the most difficult nonlinear problems involving:

      • Geometric, material, and load nonlinearities
      • Large deformations
      • Contact conditions

      State-of-the-Art Stress Capabilities: ADINA Structures

For the analysis of solids and structures, the analysis can be linear or highly nonlinear, static or dynamic. Take advantage of versatile and generally applicable finite elements for solids, shells, beams, trusses, pipes, and special purpose applications. Material models are provided for metals, soils and rocks, plastics, rubber, fabrics, wood, ceramics, and concrete.

      Analyze Multiple Element Types

Conduct linear and nonlinear analysis of solid elements (2D and 3D solid elements), structural elements (truss, beam, pipe, shell, spring, optimal shell elements, MITC3+, and MITC4+), fluid elements (2D and 3D potential-based subsonic fluid elements), acoustic elements, special purpose elements (alignment, connector, general), or user-defined elements.

Minimize CPU Time and Memory Requirements

Deploy structural-only analyses, or use with other modules in the product suite for multi-physics applications, such as thermo-mechanical coupling or fluid-structure interaction analyses. Powerful solvers and element formulations enable the analysis of extremely large models with minimal CPU time and memory requirements.

Complete Pre- and Post-processing Capabilities with ADINA User Interface

Benefit from a fully interactive graphical user interface for all your modeling and post-processing tasks. Model geometry may be directly created or imported from various CAD systems, including those that support Parasolid (NX, SolidEdge, and SolidWorks).

      Fully Automatic Mesh Generation

Meshing for 3D elements includes mapped meshing that generates brick, wedge, or mixed free-form tetrahedral elements, and general 3D meshing for solids and fluids. Conduct 2D surface meshing for shells, plated, and 2D planar elements, as well as 1D elements, such as truss, beam, and pipe.

      Operating System

      Windows 8, 8.1, 10, 11 | Intel Fortran Compiler Classic, version 2022.1.0 | Intel MKL 2022.1.0

Linux kernel 5.4 and higher, glibc 2.31 and higher

All program versions are 64-bit, using the x86_64 architecture. The Intel 64 and AMD64 implementation of the x86-64 architecture are supported. The CPU must support the AVX extensions to the x86_64 instruction set architecture. Most Intel and AMD CPUs released after 2011 contain these extensions.

The following Linux distros comply with the minimum operating system requirements for Linux (any distros earlier than listed cannot be used with ADINA):

      • Ubuntu 20.04 LTS
      • openSUSE 15.4
      • Centos Stream 9
      • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9

The Linux computer must have Firefox and libssl.so.1.1 installed, otherwise the Linux installation will abort. Firefox and libssl.so.1.1 are used for Linux licensing. Instructions for installing Firefox and libssl.so.1.1 are distro-dependent. libssl.so.1.1 is a system library used with OpenSSL 1.1.1.

      Graphics Card

Optional: OpenGL 3.3 compatible graphics card with at least 1 GB memory for fast graphics mode display
